Winter Love Island couples are constantly changing as contestants move in and out of the villa and the cast continue to get to know each other – so who’s in a couple right now and who’s still single?
Ever since new host Maya Jama hit the scene on January 16, introducing a whole new cast of singles, they’ve all been trying to hook up with the person who’s been getting the most attention.
As the episodes progress, expect to see a lot of twists and turns. People cracking up, heads turning and bombs being dropped are all part of the experience.

After the last episode, there are five couples on screen, broken down into the following:

- Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad
- Tanyel Revan and Kai Fagan
- Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown and Tom Clare
- Will Young and Jessie Wynter
- Aaron Waters and Lana Jenkins

How Reconnecting Works in Love Island
Here we will explain how couples and reconnection work on Love Island.
Love Island couples consist of two contestants, and usually, if you’re in a couple, you’re safe from elimination (but sometimes public votes can lead to the elimination of those who are paired together.) In the first ever reunion, the girls choose which boy they want after stepping in front of them.
In the subsequent reconnections, winter Love Island 2023 contestants are called to the fire pit to choose another person to be their match.
Those in a couple may share the same bed and are often more closed to advances… Until the next bomb comes in to turn heads.
