Margaret River is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia for a reason
If you haven’t heard of Margaret River, it’s a popular wine-growing region in Western Australia. It’s known for its pristine beaches and gorgeous natural scenery, and it’s probably one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia right now. As mentioned above, Margaret River is also known for its delicious food. Highlights for Australian and international travellers include the south coast wines from Quarantine Valley and the award-winning fish and chips from Fitzroy Island.
Much like wine regions everywhere, growing your own food is an exciting hobby to show off to your friends and family. If you’ve missed the opportunity to try Australian vegetables, then this could be a dream destination for you. From succulent pickles to vinaigrette-infused mayonnaise, chef David Ellard’s restaurant The Alexandra Table has everything you need. You’ll also find tasty snacks and prepared meals, many of which are healthy options for travellers.
There’s a lot to do in Margaret River, so no matter what you’re into, you can find something to do while you’re there
All I can say is that there’s a lot to do in Margaret River and, no matter what you’re into, you can find something to do while you’re there. If you like wine, there are a lot of great wineries in the area. If you like surfing, there are some amazing beaches just 10 minutes away. If you like cooking, the Feast is one of the most beautiful food venues in New Zealand and I’d love to see you there!
If you like doing outdoor activities, it’s tough to beat Margaret River’s beach. No matter the weather, you can always venture out onto the beach and take some nice laps or head to the lifesaving centre to enjoy some refreshing swims. There are other things to do, too, once you get your tan on, just like horse riding and snowmobiling.
