Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Player creates a paradox form for Vaporeon

A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fan shares their concept for a Paradox form of the Water-Type Eeveelution, Vaporeon, that they created.

ONE Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player shares his concept for a Paradox Vaporeon. Players love to create their own shapes and variations of existing pocket monsters. This includes new regional forms for various Pokemon, as well as unique Mega Evolutions and Gigantamax forms.

A new form of pocket monsters that players have created their own versions of is the Paradox Pokemon. Introduced in the RPG series’ ninth generation, these creatures are either past or future variants of existing Pokemon such as Jigglypuff and Gallade. A player came up with the Paradox form for one of the original 151 pocket monsters, giving it a futuristic makeover.

A Redditor known as MDSM_art posted a drawing of their idea for a Paradox Vaporeon that would fit into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet pretty good. The artist named their creation Iron Fins, which give the Water-Type a robotic appearance. The Pok√©mon retains many of Vaporeon’s characteristics, such as the yellow fins on its head and the spikes that run along its tail. However, the pocket monster that MDSM_art came up with looks like it’s assembled from steel plates, and has purple LED eyes. The artist did a good job of keeping the Vaporeon’s characteristics while giving it a machine-like appearance.

MDSM_art asked commenters what type they feel Iron Fins would be and got some different answers. A number of Reddit users chimed in, with the two most popular typing combinations being Water/Steel and Water/Electric. A player mentioned that Pokemon can be Ice/Steel and have an ability called Liquid Cooling that will make it resistant to Fire-Type attacks. A number of players enjoy MDSM_art’s idea for a Paradox Vaporeon and come up with great ideas for the pocket monster. Iron Fins is a great concept and could easily fit in with the other futuristic creatures found in it Pokemon Violet.

Iron Fins isn’t the only Paradox Pokemon that MDSM_art has come up with. The artist stated that they are currently working their way through all of the Eeveelutions, having completed some of them. This includes Glaceon, who was named Iron Frost, and Umbreon, who was named Iron Shadow. Aside from Eevee, MDSM_art seems to be making futuristic versions of Eeveelutions, though that may change with the remaining Pokemon. The artist has done a good job so far and will hopefully be able to keep it up. Paradox Pokemon is an interesting concept and will hopefully be expanded upon when the DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet falls in the future.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is available now for Nintendo Switch.
