Some users consider Farm 18, Taraq and Crown Raceway to be the best maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with Embassy and Mercado Las Almas also on the pitch. However, there is probably no consensus on the overall best map in the game, as different players may have particular problems with a given level. Now, one Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fan shares a massive reason to dislike the Taraq map.
A Reddit user named T-King-667 posted a picture from Taraq i Modern Warfare 2, which shows that UAVs are difficult to hit at this level. T-King-667 points to the location of the UAV in the photo, confirming that it is obscured by the smoke or clouds on the map. The player mentions that it’s kind of their job to destroy UAVs to prevent enemies from knowing their team’s location, but the weather conditions on Taraq make it incredibly difficult to do so.
According to a Reddit user, the El Asilo map has a similar problem, as the UAV’s flight path makes it harder to hit them even with a locked missile. This is supported by another actor who claims that some PILA rockets fly past UAVs despite being locked, as fans discuss the inconsistency in the altitude of UAVs and CUAVs in Modern Warfare 2.
T-King-667 lists the cloud cover as the biggest reason for not liking the map, but it seems that fans’ opinions differ more. Many users state that they enjoy playing on Taraq, with one claiming that the map has grown on them since Modern Warfare 2its release. Another user mentions loving bigger, more open, maps i Duty calls game, so Taraq matches their taste, and one fan says they love leveling sniper rifles in it Modern Warfare 2 at this level.
These issues may be prominent on specific maps, however Modern Warfare 2 offers a decent amount of variety in terms of map size. After launch, Shoot House and Shipment were added Modern Warfare 2 in Season 1, but both are remakes of older maps. While Shoot House and Shipment are popular, some users probably expected brand new maps to be added Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer as post-launch content.
